 Dr. Sandesh Pandit is the team physician for Roseburg High School Indians.

Specializing in Caring for Sports Injuries

Umpqua Orthopedics treats injuries typically associated with athletics, exercise, and fitness. Sports injuries can be from overuse and trauma from contact sports including football. Our board-certified physicians understand the complexities and nuances necessary for treating athletes and help patients return to their desired level of play.

Sports medicine physicians work closely with athletic trainers, physical and occupational therapists, athletic directors, coaches, paramedics, other medical specialists, and parents to select the best treatment plan for healing and recovery.

An important part of sports medicine is the timing of treatment. For some conditions, athletes may be able to finish the current season prior to treatment. For other types of injuries, athletes may need to be immediately removed from play for treatment and rehabilitation before the next athletic season.

Sports medicine physicians help with the difficult decision-making process in these moments. Dr. Pandit and Dr. Sexton are official team physicians for the Roseburg High School athletic department.
